Dear Doug,

I want to thank you and WVHL for providing the live remote and other publicity for Farmville's first Celebrity Cook Off. With your assistance the Cook Off was a big success.

Attendance was close to our goal of 200, and we raised, at last count, $1,860 for FACES, Farmville Area Community Emergency Services. In addition the event brought together the town's service clubs, businesses, university and the community for an evening of fun while supporting a worthwhile cause. It appears everyone had a good time.

This year was an opportunity for us id find out how the Town would react to this type of food festival. Planning has all ready begun on next year's a "Taste of Farmville". We plan to move to a larger location next year and enhance the event for both the cooks and participants. Please mark your calendar for January 12, 2006 with January 19, 2006 as a snow date for next year's a Taste of Farmville.
