I wish to
extend my gratitude to your radio station (WVHL 92.9)
for the wonderful promotion of Cumberland County
Elementary School's (CCES) Jump Rope for Heart program.
I had no idea that your employees would take our "cause"
to heart when I contacted your station about releasing a
public service announcement for the American Heart
Association (AHA). Daryl, Brad and Sherry established a
"live drop" from our school on Friday, February 25th,
to promote our event to their listeners. I was ecstatic
with their effort and encouraged by their enthusiasm for
our event.
This year's
"Jump" was held in memory of Dave Fultz who suffered a
heart attack at the age of 44 and died. CCES raised over
$5,000.00 in his memory. It is our wish that his wife.
Lean, is proud of all our students and community members
for such an outstanding effort in surpassing our goal of
$3,000.00 for the AHA. Please make a point of learning
CPR, obtain a heart defibrillator for your workplace and
areas of recreation, and learn the early warning signs
of heart attack and stroke. You could save a loved one's
life! Join your local emergency squads or support their
efforts. The more community trained to respond the
quicker a response can be given!
I sincerely thank you ...
